Spring Coming To An End!

by jimmy

We are always a little sad when Spring comes to an end here in Phoenix. Partly because it means -IT’S GOING TO GET REALLY HOT!! But also because the outdoor gigs come to an end. As always, we will be laying low, finishing up the new CD and writing new material. We will be playing some sparse gigs and anticipating a very full schedule in the Fall. We have some dates booked already and several pending confirmation.

It’s been a pretty good season. We’ve met many new people and have had some great performances. We will be closing out the season with a performance at the Rhythm Room on Sunday, May 15, 2011. We will be playing with Thermal Blues Express. I will post an update with all the pertinent info in a few days – here and on facebook.

BTW -we now have Dream Chemistry T-Shirts. We spared no expense on quality. I will be posting a link as soon as I figure out how. Hahaha. You’d think with the things I know how to do on a computer, I could figure out how to do something simple like this. Not!

Thanks to all our wonderful friends and fans for their support. We’ll see you soon!!

Thank You !!!

Spectacular show Saturday night at the Land of Ahhs!! Special thanks to Jodi Floyd for making it happen. Great people!! Awesome musicians (Nathan McEuen, Joerdie and Bo, etc.) All those that didn’t make it missed out on a great great evening!! Big thanks to our many friends and fans that showed up to support live music. Thank you!!

New Vocalist – Dream Chemistry

by jimmy

Dream Chemistry’s new vocalist is Dellynn Marie!! We will be updating everyone soon on the new CD, and upcoming performances.

Dream Chemistry would like to thank Robin Brown and Steve Piper and wish them a successful future. They have quite a lot to offer the music world.

That said we have interviewed and auditioned a handful of vocalists and would like to welcome Dellynn Marie to the Dream Chemistry family. The future looks very bright!

We would like to thank the following vocalists, vocal coaches and other professionals that interviewed, auditioned or just helped along the way. We would also like to thank those that we didn’t quite get to – I’m sure our musical paths will cross again in the future! Julianne Forte, Michelle Maria, Barb Horton, Jeanne Mac Laughlin, Melissa Black, Lindsey Bair, Craig Lemke, Annrenee Jones, Susan Michaels, Terry Davies, Zeno Sonik, and most of all –Scott Schaefer (you the man!!) If I left anyone out –it’s unintentional. Thank you!

Update – Finally!!!

by jimmy

I want to apologize for the lack of updates recently. The group has been very busy writing new material for our next CD. Recording commenced as of June 21st. I will be posting candid shots of the recording sessions, periodically, over the next several weeks. This is just to give everyone a sneak peak of the process.

Steve Piper and I have started a mobile recording company called Soulaire Sound. Dream Chemistry will be the first full length project produced under the company.

In other news, Steve, Jimmy and Robin took some time out recently to record two songs co-written with Jimmy James (Wagener). Regrettably, Jimmy Wagener passed away on June 13 from cancer. In his short time involved with the group, he was able to add some great inspiration that will help launch the group forward. Thank you Jimmy James!! We appreciate all you have done for us and we will miss you dearly!

Dream Chemistry will be performing at the Merritt Center in Payson, AZ for the annual Veterans Program fundraiser. The event has moved up to August 21st this year. I will be posting all the information in it’s own post in a few days. Robin has posted more information about the Veterans Program on our Facebook page. Please swing by and get an idea of what it’s all about. We would like to promote a big turnout this year as it is a greatly needed program.

New Line-Up for Dream Chemistry

by jimmy

We’ve made some changes over the last month. Robin Brown has replaced Ella McGee as lead vocalist. We would like to welcome Robin into the fold with open arms. At the same time we would like to express our love and wishes to Ella. It’s been a great ride. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.

Steve Piper has also joined the group. He will be adding a second guitar, more vocals and percussion. Who knows? We may even get him on bass now and then to free Neal up to play some percussion and other interesting instruments. Only time will tell.

Steve also brings his experience with live and studio sound to the table. Jimmy Caterine is thrilled to have some greatly needed help with the ‘ears’ end of things.

You can see the ‘new and improved’ Dream Chemistry at Storm Wisdom on April 24 & 25. A post with all the details to follow, shortly.
